CEF Challenges Power Community
Members to Make a Difference
COMMON Education Foundation
The objective of the COMMON Education Foundation, in conjunction
with IBM Academic Initiative for Power Systems, is to expand and
enhance midrange education in colleges and universities. The
Foundation also works with COMMON members, local user groups,
sister user groups, Power Systems customers and Business Partners
to get more educational institutions involved with the platform.
If you, your company or your local user group are interested in
helping to make Power Systems and/or midrange education
available in your community, please contact foundation@common.

There are a lot of ways that you can make a difference including monetary contributions, donating
items for the Silent Auctions held at the annual conference and volunteering to help staff the
foundation booth or with other CEF activities.
PayPal Option
For contributors convenience we now offer payment using Paypal. You can simply visit the foundation
page on the COMMON site and click the Donate button. Using PayPal Power Community members can
easily make a credit card donation at any time throughout the year.
We challenge you to step forward and make a difference. Whether it be volunteering time or a
monetary donation the Power community benefits. The COMMON Education Foundation is a 501(c)( 3)
organization and, as such, all donations are tax deductible to the extent of the law. Please contact your
tax adviser for specific guidance. Follow by example and take the lead like Maxava and David Gibbs.
Both have very generously stepped forward for the foundation.
